We sat down with our LA neighbors, Graye, a multi-brand design showroom and gallery dedicated to space planning, interior design, and architecture for some of the biggest clients in Hollywood and globally.

ELA: What are some of your most requested items, and why do you think these are the most requested?

MC: Our Italian closet systems are a favorite among celebrities and design fans alike. Bespoke and made to measure, we assess each client's individual needs resulting in an elegant, modern yet highly functional storage solution. For furnishings, we focus on a curated collection of modern classics and design icons from all over the globe. Design fads come and go quickly, but our DNA is about quality, longevity and originality.

ELA: Anything else you want to share?

MC: Our LatinX exhibition is currently on display through April. It features a collection of works from L.A.-based Latino artists.

ELA: Can you tell us more about Graye? How did you get started and what do you do?

Maria Cicione (MC): In 2010, Graye opened as a high-level multi-brand design showroom on Robertson Blvd. In 2016, we expanded into our current home on North Sycamore Ave. (which became known as “The Annex”), and presented our collections in a unique appointment-only gallery space. A few other businesses migrated east soon after, creating this new design district. Last year we committed to Hollywood as our new home. No longer an annex, our new location allowed us to spread our creative wings into a design studio, gallery and installation space where we showcase designers from Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the U.S.

ELA: What have been some of your most interesting design projects and/or challenges for your clients?

MC: Our roster of music, film and sports clientele requires strict discretion, however, we have designed everything from sofas to closet systems for some of Los Angeles' (and NYC's) most discerning clients. Access, communication, and busy schedules can pose certain challenges to accomplish a project but we are committed to delivering the highest level of service and best client experience possible for both our residential and commercial/hospitality projects.
