Easterseals is a 100 year-old nonprofit with almost no brand awareness. A service organization for America's disabled, helping them integrate with their communities. Which is no easy task. Because real inclusion isn't just the responsibility of caregivers or their clients. It's up to every human in the community. Yet many people think of the disabled as a group.
The only way to build brand recognition was to confront this innate prejudice.
We wanted to challenge people to see the person before the disability, and earned two prestigious awards in the process—Real impact on communities and a place in the Smithsonian.
